As a band that lived and died in a pre-smartphone, pre-YouTube era, there is absolutely no video footage of our existence online... UNTIL NOW!

We've dug this one out of the archives from the "Adventures In Rock" DVD we were a part of with many other AZ bands back in the day.  It was filmed nearly a decade ago at our old haunt, The Clubhouse in Tempe, AZ.  We'll be the first ones to admit that this wasn't one of our finest performances, but hey, it's all there is, so enjoy it!

We'll be dropping a couple more videos soon, and maybe some photos and what not too.  Enjoy!

Listen to "Heart & Soul" (from The Weirding) Tue, 06 Aug 2013 18:33:22 +0000 http://theweirding.shoutabl.com/news/new-music-listen-to-heart-soul_502 http://theweirding.shoutabl.com/news/new-music-listen-to-heart-soul_502 Farewell Thu, 26 May 2005 23:36:09 +0000 http://notquitebernadette.shoutabl.com/news/farewell_209 http://notquitebernadette.shoutabl.com/news/farewell_209 Not Quite Bernadette will be cancelling all further plans. We'd like to thank every single amazing person who has made the last three years so incredible; whether you let us sleep on your floor and hang out, talked to us after a show, bought some of our merch to help us out with gas, smiled with us, or even just gave our music a chance. We have made so many wonderful friends through all of this, and we hope not to lose that. We love you all very dearly.

This does indeed mean that our show on Saturday is cancelled, and we won't be making this record. We hope you all understand. The demos are all now available for download on our purevolume site. We also have a small bit of merchandise (tshirts, hoodies, cds) left, so if for any reason you want any of the last of it email us and let us know: we'll be giving it away cheap if you are interested.

As one chapter ends, a new one begins. Nick and I (Travis) are continuing on creating music together, and you can check out some VERY rough demos at www.myspace.com/youngling.

Robert is back in the band he was with before he joined up in NQB, with good friends Chris and Luke. They make incredible instrumental music, so make sure you go rock their stuff at www.myspace.com/kirschisamonster.

Also, if interested you can check out some of my solo stuff I've been doing on the side for a bit now at www.myspace.com/willburr.

We all love music, that will never change and I don't suspect any of us to ever stop playing. We'll keep you updated with what the other members are doing, and hope you find that while Not Quite Bernadette has come to an end, many new and beautiful things are blossoming out of it.

Being that our show on Saturday is cancelled and all, everyone in Arizona should head out to Neckbeard's instead on Sunday. Our good friends Dear and the Headlights will be playing with The Firebird Band, and well...they are amazing, so hopefully we'll see you out there.
Thanks again everyone for all the amazing times. And don't worry, I am sure we will see you all again soon, in some way or another. :)

New Songs Mon, 07 Mar 2005 21:30:41 +0000 http://notquitebernadette.shoutabl.com/news/new-songs_347 http://notquitebernadette.shoutabl.com/news/new-songs_347 Hello everyone!

So we put up five new tracks for streaming over at www.purevolume.com/notquitebernadette! Please keep in mind that these are all demos we recently recorded ourselves, so the quality isn't quite up to par with our other available music. We've been home working on our debut full-length, "The Ruby Wizard", and we wanted to give you all a taste of our new material, and the new direction we are headed.

We are writing this record in chronological order, and not rehashing any old songs, so as to be a complete and unified album flowing together and evolving, rather than a disassociated collection of songs. We hope you can find the time to listen to Track 01-04 continuously through, as intended. Track 06 is a bit different, as it is an acoustic song that we all recorded and wrote together in a single take, with a single microphone out on a backporch. We hope you enjoy them!

We head into the studio from April through May once again with the amazing sound-guru, our good friend, Bob Hoag. We plan to release the record shortly after that and hit the road again for two years or so.

For all of you in Arizona, we have a show coming up on April 17th at The Clubhouse in Tempe with our good friends In Passing Calvary, Movie Script Ending, Honor Bed, and more. This show is a going away party for Kathy Shellberg who is joining the United States Navy, and it will also be one of our only shows for quite a while. It's only $7 and will get started around 7:00pm, so we hope you can all make it out!

Thank you all so much for your never ending support. We love you all sensational amounts and can't wait to get this new record into your hands and hit the road again to come see you! We hope you enjoy the early versions of the songs. Please feel free to send us feedback, or just say hi, through email: band@notquitebernadette.com. We'd love to hear from you!

Take care,
<3Travis and NQB

Show Tomorrow Canceled Fri, 18 Feb 2005 21:35:33 +0000 http://notquitebernadette.shoutabl.com/news/show-tomorrow-canceled_348 http://notquitebernadette.shoutabl.com/news/show-tomorrow-canceled_348 Unfortunately, we will not be playing tomorrow at Mesa Amp after all. The show has, sadly, been cancelled. We will have a couple more show announced soon though, honestly! For those of our friends in Utah and NM, our best buds in The Stiletto Formal will be doing a short few day tour hitting up those spots in support of the release of their EP. Make sure you all check out their website for the dates, and of course go see them! A couple of our guys will be with them as well, so say hi to Wayne and Nicholas. :)

Take care everyone, have a good weekend.

Happy V-Day! Mon, 14 Feb 2005 21:39:44 +0000 http://notquitebernadette.shoutabl.com/news/happy-v-day_349 http://notquitebernadette.shoutabl.com/news/happy-v-day_349 Hello to all you lovely people out there!
Happy Valentine's Day, or Single's Awareness Day, whichever you choose to celebrate (if either)!

We hope all of you have had your year start off well with two wonderful months, as we have. We can't thank all our friends in Arizona who came out to our show on January 29th with The Stiletto Formal, as well as our more recent one in Tucson. It was so great to see you all, and we appreciate your support so much; especially all the wonderful comments we got on our new material. Once again, we'd like to give another huge congratulations to our best friends in The Stiletto Formal for releasing such an amazing EP and for all the huge things that are happening to them, and are yet to come. We love you guys, and can't thank you enough for standing so close by our sides these last couple years. We can not wait for the many more amazing times we will share, yet to come. :)

Speaking of new material, that's all we've been up to...making more of it! We recently self-recorded some demos at our practice area of the first four tracks of our record, and we should hopefully have those up on purevolume.com for all of you to check out very soon. We are anxious to get our new music into the ears of all of you. We'll let you know soon when we have those online. Also, our recording plans for the full-length are finally settled and we will be hitting the studio from April into May once again with our dear friend and amazing sound-guru, Bob Hoag.

For our pals in Arizona, we'd like to let you all know that we will be a part of an incredible line-up this Saturday, February 19th featuring the likes of our wonderful friends in Before Braille, Lydia, Bluewall Audience, Thirte FS, For The Record and many many other great bands. The show is a benefit for the late Joseph Dean, and will be held at Mesa Amphitheatre from 2pm-10pm. We will be playing around 7pm, but make sure you come by early to check out all the great music. And guess what? It's only five dollars!!! That's right, for such a miniscule amount of spare change you can support a good cause and come see a ton of awesome bands all day at Mesa Amp. We hope to see you all there. :)

In the meantime, we will keep writing writing writing and eventually recording it all come April! We'll keep you posted when we get those songs up soon, and we will most likely be heading out for a short stint of a tour to some of our favorite places around the southwest before we head into the studio, but we'll let you all know about that when we have more details. We hope you are all doing very well, and can't thank you enough for the continued support. Just know that all six of us love each and everyone of you very very much!

Take care.

Happy New Year! Thu, 06 Jan 2005 21:43:04 +0000 http://notquitebernadette.shoutabl.com/news/happy-new-year_350 http://notquitebernadette.shoutabl.com/news/happy-new-year_350 Happy New Year!

Just wanted to clear up with everyone that, unfortunately, we will NOT be playing anywhere tomorrow (Friday, Jan 7th). We apologize to everyone who was hoping to see us tomorrow, but our good friends Mexico Mexico (all the way from Arkansas) will be playing with our friends in Bluewall Audience and Fashion Music at the grand opening of Chipotle in Goodyear (1560 N Litchfield Rd.), and we'd love to see you all out there. It will start around 7ish and is FREE!

As for us, we'll just be hanging around home working on the new record. We hope you can all make it out to Stiletto Formal's CD Release on January 29th. Hope everyone had a safe and wonderful New Year's Eve! See you soon. :)

Take care, We love you all very much!
